Bridgewater Police Investigating Crash that Injured Pedestrian, Required MedFlight Transport

Police Chief Christopher D. Delmonte and Fire Chief John Schaltz report that the Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a single-vehicle crash on Broad Street Wednesday morning that seriously injured a pedestrian.

Bridgewater Police to Host Civilian Response Training to Active Shooter/Violent Incident on Aug. 11

The Bridgewater Police Department will host a Civilian Response Training to Active Shooter/Violent Incident on Monday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Williams Intermediate School, 200 South St.

This training program is intended to give community members an introduction to the ALICE model (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) of self-defense in the event of an armed intruder or other critical incident in the home, out in public or in the workplace.

The program, instructed by Bridgewater Police Officers, will combine classroom instruction with hands-on scenario based training exercises. Class will be limited in size but there is no cost for the program.
