Bridgewater Police Arrest and Charge Man with Possession of Child Pornography

February 13, 2025 by Cody Shepard

BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher D. Delmonte reports that Bridgewater Police Detectives arrested and charged a Bridgewater man with possession of child pornography following a months-long investigation.

CARLOS DASILMA, AGE 38, of BRIDGEWATER, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography

DASILMA was arraigned in Brockton District Court and is currently being held at the Plymouth County House of Correction.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, at approximately 7 a.m., Bridgewater Police Detectives, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, placed DASILMA under arrest. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at DASILMA’s residence in Bridgewater.

Bridgewater Police Detectives are active members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigating child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began when police received information that DASILMA was allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse material. Bridgewater Police ICAC investigators received a cyber tip regarding a social media account possessing child sexual abuse material files.

DASILMA was taken into custody by Bridgewater Police Detectives and Patrol Officers without incident and was transported to the Bridgewater Police Department for booking.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
