Chief Christopher D. Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department is investigating an incident of shots fired in the parking lot of an apartment complex early Thursday.
At approximately 5:15 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired behind Building 2 of an apartment complex at 5 Lakeshore Center. It was also reported that a smaller-sized vehicle had sped off from the parking lot, and a male was observed running from the area.
Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles that had sustained ballistic damage, including shattered windows. Spent shell casings were also located around the vehicles.
Police are not aware of anyone who was injured as a result of the incident.
The Bridgewater Police Department believes this is a targeted attack and does not pose an ongoing threat to the community.
