Bridgewater Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Witness to Fatal Crash

BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher Delmonte and the Bridgewater Police Department are seeking to identify a motorist who they believe witnessed yesterday’s fatal crash between a motorcycle and a sedan.

The driver of a silver sedan was in the area at the time of the crash yesterday morning on Route 18, and Bridgewater Police are seeking to identify that driver as a witness to the crash. They believe the driver may have valuable information they can share with investigators.

The person is being sought as a witness, and is not a suspect in the crash itself.

Motorcycle rider Richard Silva, age 71, of Brockton died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was arrested and subsequently arraigned today in Brockton District Court.
