On December 10, 2014 at approximately 11:30am, the Bridgewater Police Department received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash on Aldrich Rd at the intersection of Princess Pine. The collision involved one vehicle. Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed a single car (2001 Black Chevy Impala) which had struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The operator of the vehicle was extracted from the vehicle by members of the Bridgewater Fire Department utilizing the Jaws of Life. The operator was treated at the scene for serious injuries and subsequently transported to the Brockton Hospital by the ambulance from the East Bridgewater Fire Department.
It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle as he was attempting to manipulate the curve in the road.
It is with our deepest heartfelt sorrow that we have to announce, that as a result of the injuries sustained from the collision, the operator identified as Paul Chuilli Jr. of West Bridgewater (age 18) was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The victim resided with his mother in West Bridgewater and is also son of a member of the Bridgewater Fire Department and the step-son of a member of the Bridgewater Police Department. The accident is under investigation by the Bridgewater Police Department.
