BRIDGEWATER — Police Chief Christopher D. Delmonte reports that a search warrant was executed, and an arrest was made following an investigation into a larceny scheme that took place over multiple years.

On Thursday, May 28, at approximately 9 a.m., Bridgewater Police Detectives along with members of the WEB Major Crimes and Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a residence on Cross Street for stolen merchandise from the Amazon warehouse on Elm Street.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation that started after Amazon’s Loss Prevention team reported information to the police involving one of their employees.

A subsequent investigation revealed that an employee of the Amazon warehouse had a long-running scheme, diverting merchandise that ranged in total value from thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars or more, and lasted for several months to possibly multiple years. Among these items were many high-end electronic devices. The diversion took place in the warehouse and did not involve any customer’s individual packages.

The search warrant yielded hundreds of confirmed stolen items from Amazon.

ALEXANDRA MARIE RODRIGUEZ, 34, of BRIDGEWATER, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Larceny from a Building
  • Larceny over $1,200
  • Receiving Stolen Property over $1,200

This case remains under investigation by Bridgewater Police Officer Robert Gray Jr., Detective Nicholas Chmielinski, Detective Jacob Poulin, and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
