Bridgewater Police Chief Christopher Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive after being pulled from an apartment complex swimming pool this afternoon. Police and fire officials responded 5:47 p.m. Saturday to the Axis Apartments at Summit Drive. They found a man who had been pulled out of the complex’s swimming pool being rendered CPR by a Good Samaritan. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:33 p.m. The victim is a 56-year-old male who resided in the complex. The drowning is under investigation by Bridgewater Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Plymouth District Attorney’s Office. The victim’s name is not being released at this time pending notification next of kin. Additional media inquires should be directed to the District Attorney’s Office.
